Project background: Chernka is a restaurant scheduling app that offers wide spectrum of inside information that allow users to choose the restaurants that they feel most comfortable with.

Target Users: Chernka app’s target customer is busy workers who almost dedicate their life working and do not have time to book or prepare for fancy dinner.

Define

Following the creation of the user journey and storyboard, I have identified key pain points within the current user flow. These insights are crucial in understanding the challenges users face, paving the way for a more refined and user-centric design in the Define phase.

    Limited Availability:
    • Challenge in finding available seats at popular restaurants.
    Communication Hassles:
    • Difficulty in reaching and contacting the chosen restaurant.
    Time Pressure:
    • Time-consuming process of making calls for reservations.
    • Concerns about the time it takes to get information and confirm details.
    Weather and Queue Discomfort:
    • Displeasure with the inconvenience of waiting in queues, especially in unfavorable weather conditions.

Test

I initiated by planning usability tests. After two rounds of studies, insights from the initial test informed the progression from wireframes to mockups. The second study, employing a high-fidelity prototype, pinpointed areas in the mockups that required refinement.
